Priyanka Chopra is the queen of ABC’s hit show Quantico, but before landing this prime time acting gig, she had quite the resume. Chopra was an Indian actress, singer, film producer, philanthropist, and won the Miss World 2000 pageant. She was one of India's highest-paid and most popular celebrities.
Chopra has received numerous film awards. In 2016, the Indian government honored her with the Padma Shri, which is the fourth highest civilian award. She was also named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time Magazine. Not too shabby!
Chopra has brains too. She had aspired to be a aeronautic engineer but soon changed her mind and made her Bollywood debut in The Hero in 2003. After a brief setback, after being in a few films that did not work out, she received critical acclaim for playing a troubled model in the drama Fashion in 2008, which won her the Filmfare and National Film Award for Best Actress. Soon after she played many roles for which she won several more awards and nominations.
In 2015, she began her starring role as Alex Parrish in the series Quantico. This has made her the first South Asian to headline an American network series.
Chopra has also done a lot of philanthropic work. For the last 10 years she has worked with UNICEF and was appointed as the national and global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights in both 2010 and 2016.
She has also promoted many other causes such as environment, health and education, and women's rights and has been very vocal about gender equality and feminism.
Brains, beauty, class and style. Priyanka Chopra is four for four!
