Even though Evan Spiegel is a 26 year-old, self-made billionaire, you may not have heard his name until recently when he started dating supermodel Miranda Kerr in 2015. Spiegel is the Co-Founder and CEO of Snap, Inc., the makers of SnapChat.
With an estimated net worth of $5 billion, Spiegel is one of the youngest billionaires in the world. His company, Snap Inc., is preparing for one of the most anticipated initial public offerings of 2017 at a potential valuation of $25 billion.
He attended Standard University to study product design, where he met future Snapchat co-founders Reggie Brown and Bobby Murphy at a frat party. He dropped out of Stanford just a few credits short of graduation to work on Snapchat full time.
Mark Zuckerberg's team offered $3 billion to acquire Snapchat, and Spiegel turned down the bid opting instead to build a successful business.
Spiegel cares about fashion more than most tech CEOs. He made headlines in October 2015 for appearing on the cover of Vogue Italy. He's a licensed helicopter pilot who also enjoys flower arranging. His signature shirt is a James Perse white v-neck. He once told GQ that the shirt has been a "staple since high school."
He and Miranda Kerr met at a dinner in New York City for Louis Vuitton, they became friends very slowly and then started dating. They were engaged in July 2016. Miranda Kerr revealed during a recent interview that they will be waiting till marriage before having sex.
A highly successful enterprise, billions of dollars and a gorgeous supermodel fiancé. How could you not have style?
